FAQ
Heres answers to questions i frequently get about Black Service.
Q: I just signed up for Black Service and made payment through the paypal payment form. All i got was a receipt for payment. But nothing has changed, i still don’t have access to Black Service Area’s. Whats wrong?
A: When you sign up for Black Service. Your account is not activated immediately. I don’t know about a new member until i check my email and receive confirmation of payment from a new member via paypal. I frequently check my email. It should take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours before your account is activated.
Q: I signed up for black service but i don’t have a user name and password?
A: Black Service is ran through the membership database in our forum which anyone can register for free and contribute to. Though the forum has features where i can upgrade your user account which will give you access to exclusive Black Service member areas. You need to register for a User Name and Password first before you sign up for Black Service. If you have not done so yet. Please Register for your user name and password HERE:
Take note that if your email address that you register with the forum is different than the email address that you registered with Pay Pal. I will not be able to activate your account until you contact me HERE and notify me of the different email accounts.
Q: How Do i get the Trade alerts?
A: Trade alerts are first announced in live chat in the forum. Then sent to your email and to your cell phone via text message.
Q:Why am i not getting text message trade alerts?
A: Have you registered your cell phone # with the trade alerts system HERE? If you already signed up with that form and you are still not getting the alerts. Contact me HERE.
Q: How Do I cancel My subscription?
A: Simply log into paypal and cancel your active subscription to Black Service. Your Pay Pal receipt should have a link for cancellation as well. If you can’t figure it out contact Contact me HERE.
Q: I forgot to Cancel my Account and I just got Charged Again OMG OMG!?
A: Ok calm down! This is a common thing that happens and people email me freaking out about how they got charged again and make stupid threats about how they are suing me or something like that over $50. Hey, I’m a nice guy. All you have to do is contact me HERE within 7 days of the charge and i will gladly refund your money. Some people are hysteric and make stupid threats. I’ll gladly publicly humiliate you like I did HERE to Curtis. I can only handle so many irrational emails before i SNAP!
Q: I Don’t understand the Trade alerts? What does “1/2″ mean. And Long, short, covered?
A: I only invest 10% of my capital into any given trade. And i usually trade my positions in halves.. aka 1/2. Meaning i open up a position with just 5% and then will buy another 5% either on a dip at better price. Or maybe even at a higher price on a breakout, if the first 5% filled was bought in anticipation of a breakout.
Long = bought shares of a stock
Sold = sold shares of a stock
Short = shorted shares of a stock (profit if the stock falls)
Covered = means i “bought to cover” the shares i shorted… exiting the position for profit/loss.
Example #1
TRADE ALERT: covered KFN @ 1.71 as this is breaking out on the intraday chart… very moderate loss
Explanation: I shorted this stock at 1.68. Covering this position means i exited this stock at 1.71 for a small loss. As shorting means you want the stock to fall, not rise.
Example #2
TRADE ALERT: Short 1/2 position in S @ 4.06… very bearish breakdown… S has been falling while the DOW surged.. this stock is weak.
Explanation: This would mean that I invested just 5% of my capital into shorting the stock “S” at 4.06, which is the phone company Sprint. As 10% is the maximum i put into any one stock. So 1/2 position would mean obviously i entered this trade with 1/2 of 10%… aka 5%. And maybe i will short another 5% in the future to make a full position.
Example #3
TRADE ALERT: Long 1/2 position in AVNR @ 2.33. Strong 13ema trend. Broke recent consolidation today on volume
Explanation: This means that i bought shares of AVNR at 2.33 in anticipation of the stock heading higher from this point.
In the Chat room. Some of the text is bold. Why is this?
This is our exclusive Black Service chat room feature in use. Any text that you see in bold has been deliberately filtered from the public by the users themselves and can only be seen by black service members. To do this simply type 2 @ symbols into you message and it will filter your shout from the public.
Example:
[2009-07-23 11:51.26] <stantongk21> @@IMMU still running
[2009-07-23 11:56.47] <fous> @@ CHDX working out nicely so far
In the chat room you wont see the @ symbols. rather you text will be bold. It is required that you use this feature when discussing stocks in the Black Service portfolio. Or you can use this feature whenever you want to have your message exclusively for Black Service members.
I saw you saying you bought some shares of stock XYZ and then you sold it later in the same day. I did not get any trade alert on this stock whats the deal?
I don’t send out trade alerts nor specify my exact entries/exits for my day trades. This is not part of Black Service. Just me making some day trades and sharing some ideas in the chat room. The only trades you should pay attention to for Black Service in the chatroom will be pre-fixed with the term “TRADE ALERT:”
I’m not getting any emails?
Please make sure you have checked your spam folder. You can also ad fous@thetechnicaltrader.net to your contact list. If you are still not getting emails then you are part of a small group that have certain email providers that are blocking my emails. You need to contact them to fix this.
How do i change my email address that i get my alerts to?
click the “profile” tab while logged into the forum. From here click “account related settings”
I canceled my subscription and now i don’t have access. I thought i still had 15 days left or so?
When you cancel your subscription your account is over and blocks access to Black Service. And i don’t give pro-rated re-funds.
